motorcycle nun art

Marty Braun went to college to become a history teacher and came out a graphic designer. Leaving Ohio with a BFA in Graphic Design, he headed to Boston where he worked in a small design studio. Several years later he left to focus on illustration and freelance in Boston and San Francisco. Marty married illustrator Jamie Hogan and they spent their first years together turning out loads of great illustrations, loving life, and seeing California from the seats of their bikes. The call of family drew them East and they settled in Maine. They live on an island off the coast of Portland with their daughter, their drawing boards, and the dog, turning out great illustrations, loving life, and seeing Maine from the seats of their bikes.

Artwork is painted with an airbrush, using acrylic paint on Bristol board.

Clients enjoy working with Marty and rely on his creativity, dependability, and experience. He has worked with designers, agencies and corporations large and small, including Gritty McDuff’s Brewing Co., Bates College, Hewlett-Packard, The National Football League, Disney Hotels, The Wall Street Journal-Europe, and the Peaks Island Robot Club.
